Compost

We are fortunate to have been able to work out an agreement with the city for a drop site of compost from the city compost program.  This compost is available to entire membership and is conveniently located at the corner of Highview Blvd. and Glenwood Blvd.

In the Spring, we are fortunate to have the city arborist Sarah Galloway walk with interested residents throughout the neighborhood and advice members on the status of our mature trees and what steps should be taken next.  Please be on the lookout for future dates for this event.

During the first or second Saturday of June we hold our annual neighborhood yard sale.  This is a generally popular event and a great way to clean out the garage or basement!

One of our most popular events, this is generally held nJuly at a host home within our association.  This is always a great way to spend time with our neighbors or meet new neighbors.  A bounce house for the children and live music for everyone!

Every year we contract a landscaping company to keep our common areas beautiful.  Mulching, mowing, shrub trimming, replanting and fall cleanup are done throughout the year.

Glenwood Garden Club is an informal group that meets several times per year in the home of the host gardener at their convenience. They are always looking to add new members to the group.  The only prerequisite to join is that you enjoy gardening.  One must not need to be a master gardener....all levels of gardening experience are welcome.  Please contact the founder of the GGC, Lourdes Jana for further information.  You may email her with inquiries at doctorsjana@yahoo.com
